In any case, I’m glad the show isn’t like the books in the ways that it is. Bill is much less of a jerk (and he didn’t go rushing back to Lorena the instant he saw her, which is great), Lafayette isn’t dead (fantastic!), Tara is actually a character we care about (with fantastic hair), and Sam gets to say more than three lines in a scene. I really feel like the show has managed to weed out the things in the books that weren’t working and has really come up with a much more complex and interesting world.

-Yes Godric does have a maker. But his maker must have released him long ago, or died for good. If the series follows the books on this (no telling) the we won’t see Godric’s maker. In fact this is the only book that Godric is in. But I think they will incorporate him much more in the series.

-On the King/Queen status I do think that age is the pecking order but I think (and this is only my perception of things) that you have to put yourself up for the position of king or queen or even sheriff. There are plenty of old vampires but not all have to be in power. My reasoning behind this is that in the first book Bill goes to New Orleans and runs to be the area 5 investigator and wins.

Is the maker allready been written by the writer of true blood in the latest books or are we never going to see the maker of Godrick? I mean, Godrick is GODLIKE for his age, but his maker must be the WICKED SICK!

- and, all those Kings and Queens around, are they all older then Godrick? I don’t think so, because in the promo for the next episode, we can see the maker if BILL sitting in that chair.. so Godrick somehow gave his status / power up to save the lives of the others. With Lena being the Queen, does that mean that they are putting only the oldest vampires in charge?

because I thought that Eric was older then the maker of BILL..
